▪️Bulgaria is a member of NATO and a member of the European Union. Bulgaria would like to join the eurozone common currency union, but it doesn’t appear to be in the cards at the moment.

▪️Bulgaria has recently set a new target date of Jan. 1, 2025, on which it will move from the lev to the euro. The lev, which was introduced more than 140 years ago, had a fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 lev to the euro at the time this article was being written.
