3 dogs dead, 4 malnourished lead to charges for Butler County woman

A Butler County woman is facing several felony charges after three of her dogs were found dead due to neglect in the cold weather, according to the Journal-News. Butler County Dog Warden Kurt Merbs said that a welfare check on seven dogs on the property of St. Clair Township resident Melissa Damico, 3700 Morganthaler Road, was conducted Monday. Three dogs were found deceased due to neglect and cold weather, while four other dogs were found alive but severely malnourished, Merbs said.
