Western End communities in The Upper Peninsula are about to expand and improve their maternal health outcomes thanks to a grant from the Advancing Maternal Health Equity Programs.

Five community-based Michigan organizations received $250,000 in grants, with the Upper Peninsula Perinatal Quality Collaborative being the lone organization in the U.P. that received $50,000.

The funds aim to support sustainable initiatives across the entire pregnancy journey, lowering risks of maternal mortality and severe morbidity.
