Shali Fortress: We explored the 13th-century Shali Fortress, a historical mud-brick beauty, showcasing Siwa's unique architecture and heritage.

Salt Lakes: Next, we take you to Siwa's mesmerizing Salt Lakes, a geological wonder formed by excavation machinery and natural salt deposits and not long after we visited the natural freshwater Cleopatra Spring.

BUT! The highlight of our trip, was our afternoon/night tour that led us to sand dunes, where we had a blast racing through steep dunes, sand boarding, and experiencing hot springs.

The sunset in the Siwan desert was also magical and a night to remember. Glad we could lock that away in the memory bank ;)

Desert Sunset: We marveled at a breathtaking desert sunset and shared some more Siwan tea and traditional snacks while stargazing with local guides.

Our journey back to Cairo was eventful, with a dramatic incident on the bus that required medical assistance, highlighting the importance of quick thinking.
