Explosions were reported in close proximity to the U.S. Consulate in Erbil, Iraq, as confirmed by an Iraqi security source to ABC News.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps promptly claimed responsibility for the attacks, citing the targeting of “headquarters of spies” and “anti-Iranian terrorist gatherings in parts of the region” using ballistic missiles.

The Kurdistan Regional Security Council reported four fatalities and six injuries resulting from the attack.

Notably, there were no casualties among coalition or American forces during the bombing of Erbil, according to the Iraqi security source cited by ABC News.

A U.S. official assured that no U.S. facilities were affected, and there is no current information on damage to infrastructure or injuries, ABC News reported.
