The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel ~ Stop Believing in Lies & Trust in God...

Without a Doubt The Boxer is one of the Best and still, one of the Most Important songs ever written, and it comes from Simon and Garfunkel's album, Bridge Over Troubled Water, which is one of the Best Albums ever created as well...

Within the Brain Trust of Simon and Garfunkel, Paul Simon wrote the Songs and then He and Art Garfunkel went to work Arranging and Producing the Songs, exactly the way they wanted them to Sound...and it was here where Art Garfunkel was more than just a Special Voice, he was a Man of VISION, who could SEE where these Brilliant songs needed to get to in their finished forms, and went to any and all lengths to ensure that they did...

On the Boxer, there is a Sound and a FEELING to the Song, that is as much a Character within the Song as the Fighter himself...the Song's Lyrics were entirely Biblically Inspired, and thus, the Feel of the Song was that it was yet another Psalm from the Pages of the Bible itself, where the Prodigal Son and Daughter found themselves completely LOST within the Culture of Modern Cities where Up is Down, Right is Left and the Truth is a Lie...and where a Man comes to Hear what he wants to Hear and disregards the Rest...

Thus, the Protagonist needed to go on an Honest Journey, but wherever he went, the Mean Streets of City Life, Kicked Him and Cut Him til he Bled Freely from all of his EMOTIONAL Wounds, and Deep Feelings of Loneliness, Lack of Purpose and Helplessness, all the while being drawn to those Poorer Quarters where the Ragged People go, going to Places ONLY THEY would Know...

But amongst his own Kind, those Beaten Down by all the Lies and Deceit of the World of Man, he found himself, and in a CLEARing he Stood, and saw the Boxer he had become, that needed to Go, but the Fighter that was Created out of Necessity within him, did NOT leave him, for all of those Lowly Experiences could not Defeat his Soul from God, in fact, all it did was to make him Stronger in the End, and Wiser, as he saw that ALL was Lies and Deceit, an Illusion, thus, he sang, FREELY, I am Leaving, I am Leaving, but the Fighter Still Remains...

And then during the Outro to the Song, Simon and Garfunkel sang 33 Cadences of the Lie-La-Lie Refrain, saying Goodbye to All Lies, Deceit and SIN as the Fighter, who was a Survivor, began the Walk the Strait and Narrow Way, Back Home to God...thus, the Song is Plainly a PARABLE for us having to use our own Harrowing Experiences as LESSONS in Life, and for us to get Stronger and Wiser so that we no longer repeat our Mistakes, and then Take Christ our Lord as the Captain of our own Vessel, allowing Him to Lead us Home, Healing us from all of our Maladies, as we Learn to Forgive all those who had Trespassed against us, knowing that we had Trespassed against so many as well...

So, enjoy this Brilliant Song and Inspiring Video to Spark a Fire Inside of YOU, and take the First Step towards God thru that Leap of Faith, knowing that HE would Never allow any Child of His, to Fall, after Surrendering their Lives to HIM...
