Experiment with harvesting energy with capacitance link between a fence wire and HV transmission line.

That was a Fluke meter, I (Alvin) know from experience, they come factory with a Safety (Glass) Fuse to keep accidents from frying the meter. He should have been more concerned with the capacitor blowing as it reached it's total prescribed voltage. I've (Alvin) seen large voltage capacitors blow when over charged, pieces fly in all directions, like a military style hand grenade.
Still, I'm posting this for those who live near High Voltage Transmission Lines. Those lines do give off a large amount of EMF. Ever notice, if you linger too long around any of those lines, you begin to get a headache and if you don't leave the vicinity soon, it becomes a Raging Migraine? Yeah, those EMF waves really mess with anything alive, even plants.

He just demonstrated that a person can capture those EMF waves and use them, true, high voltage with low current. Just route it through a transformer dropping the high voltage down which will increase the current - think See Saw - as one lowers, the other rises.
