HOW TO STOP DOG PULLING ON LEASH - |Exploring Eirth's Amazing Animals

This can be done in as little as 5 minutes. But take your time and do it right. This works with any age, any breed, anywhere. The decision on whether to use this on a prong collar or a flat collar or a slip lead is a personal one. It depends on numerous factors including breed, size, age, temperament, size and strength of handler, and how bad the pulling and reactivity issues are. However, 95% of the time I will use a prong collar on almost every dog and puppy when I start this technique. Sometimes, I will introduce this technique on a flat collar or slip lead (very young and/or very soft dog or puppy) but will very quickly switch to prong collar once they understand the process. In the end, 99.9% of every dog we train will end up being trained this technique on a prong collar.

It is the most fair and efficient tool in my opinion. I will NEVER teach this using a harness.
