NBC News Reports Climate Change Killed Off 'King Kong' Apes 250,000 Years Ago And I Have Questions

In case you hadn't heard, according to Democrats like Biden, Kerry, Gore and the "Green New Deal" collection of Marxist dingbats in Congress (AOC, Bernie, et al), we're all going to die because they're not being allowed to print and spend enough money to lower global temperatures. The cause of our impending extinction? Humans burning fossil fuels, not including the gas used for the private jets of rich climate change alarmists or to heat their multiple mansions. Every now and then, however, these Democrats' allies in the media who loyally carry their water come along and accidentally knock down their "science" house of cards when it comes to climate change. Here's a story from NBC News that's ridiculous but it does make an accidental point: NBC reports "climate change" killed "King Kong" apes 300,000 years ago: "Did not fall off the Empire State Building." https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/real-king-kong-extinction-climate-change-vegetarian-fruit-rcna133389

Lots to unpack in this from NBC News: “It did not fall off the Empire State Building. Instead, a giant ape sometimes dubbed the “real King Kong" was driven to extinction by climate change that put its favorite fruits out of reach during the dry season, according to new research published Wednesday in the journal Nature. Standing 10 feet tall and weighing up to 650 pounds, Gigantopithecus blacki roamed the forested plains of southern China's Guangxi region hundreds of thousands of years ago, chowing down on fruits and flowers. […] But researchers were able to use one of the latest techniques, called “luminescence dating,” which enabled them to date the soil around the fossils in 22 caves in southern China. That helped them conclude that the giant apes died out sometime between 295,000 years ago and 215,000 years ago.”

Were these "King Kong apes" driving SUVs and using gas stoves? Which species of animal eventually came up with their version of a "Green New Deal" to bring an end to that era of climate change? Look what the combustion engine took from us. I’d been reliably informed that Climate Change was entirely Anthropogenic and global temperatures never altered to any great degree before Man started burning fossil fuels. Was I lied to?! I don’t know what to believe. It's jarring, isn't it? Because of the above story, I've suggested an updated ending to the original King Kong: "It was gas-powered leaf blowers killed the beast." https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GDurcYDWgAANvnE?format=jpg&name=small -- NBC News should be careful or too many people will get the message that climate change is a natural, cyclical occurrence.
