Orphaned otters in Texas totally bewildered by first ice experience

It's not every day that Texas is under a deep freeze. It came as a bit of a shock to the orphaned river otters at ARC for Wildlife. When they spotted the ice in their rehabilitation enclosure, at first they were confused, then curious. After a bit of slipping and sliding they finally realized that the ice is fun to eat and play with!

These orphaned otters have been at ARC for Wildlife since they were tiny fluffy babies. They'll be released back into the wild next summer. Hopefully when they recognize ice in the wild, they'll be like, "We got this!"
