Taiwan's ruling party wins presidential race with 40%

Taiwan's ruling party candidate Lai Ching-te has won the Presidential election after taking 40% of ballot. He's the chairman of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party and four years ago served as Taiwan's prime minister. Opposition contenders have conceded defeat after Lai Ching-te received nearly a million-vote advantage.
