3D Review: Soul (2020) 3D version (2024)

Soul

There might be a few Pixar films that deserved to be quietly dumped and forgotten but this was not one of them. Its a gem of a movie that just chose the wrong time to be born.

The 3D screenings of this film are scarce. In all of Canada I can only find a single theatre in Nova Scotia that has it booked.

The 3D version of this and other Disney films were available in Russia for a brief period of time. From what I can gather that agreement expired in March 2023 and was not renewed.

I, like many others had no idea there was a 3D version until it was leaked. If I understand right the copy I previewed was meticulously upscaled by a Chris D. Thanks Chris. Hopefully Apple will make that sort of thing unnecessary.
