Have trouble hitting the gym? This workout group might be for you
F3 is more than just a workout for Ryan Andrews. It's a movement -- heck, it might even be a family. Fitness, Fellowship and Faith -- F3 -- is a network of free, fitness-based clubs for men who, like Andrews, have had trouble motivating themselves to hit the gym on a regular basis alone. "I've tried many times to work out on my own in a basement or a gym, but it was never motivating enough," he said. His motivation now comes from F3, members of which meet in Amberley Park before sunrise thrice weekly to cheer each other through running, pull-ups, sit-ups and more. Rain or shine, they'll be there, running the full gamut of fitness levels and ages but united in their desire to improve themselves. Andrews is 50; the youngest member of the Cincinnati chapter, Noah Gilles, is just 12. "It's about forming stronger bonds and being here to support each other to be better fathers, better family people, better businesspeople," member Leif Fairfield said.
