Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 283 (Arabic Recitation): “ وَإِن كُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٖ وَلَمۡ تَجِدُواْ كَاتِبٗا فَرِهَٰنٞ مَّقۡبُوضَةٞۖ فَإِنۡ أَمِنَ بَعۡضُكُم بَعۡضٗا فَلۡيُؤَدِّ ٱلَّذِي ٱؤۡتُمِنَ أَمَٰنَتَهُۥ وَلۡيَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُۥۗ وَلَا تَكۡتُمُواْ ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَۚ وَمَن يَكۡتُمۡهَا فَإِنَّهُۥٓ ءَاثِمٞ قَلۡبُهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ عَلِيمٞ ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 283 (English Translation): “ And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit [should be] taken. And if one of you entrusts another, then let him who is entrusted discharge his trust [faithfully] and let him fear Allāh, his Lord. And do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is indeed sinful, and Allāh is Knowing of what you do. ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 283 (Urdu Translation): “ اور اگر تم سفر میں ہو اور لکھنے واﻻ نہ پاؤ تو رہن قبضہ میں رکھ لیا کرو ، ہاں اگر آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے مطمئن ہو تو جسے امانت دی گئی ہے وه اسے ادا کردے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتا رہے جو اس کا رب ہے۔ اور گواہی کو نہ چھپاؤ اور جو اسے چھپالے وه گنہگار دل واﻻ ہے اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اسے اللہ تعالیٰ خوب جانتا ہے۔ ”
