Prayer is the seventh item, the completion of the armor. Prayer is at the heart of spiritual warfare.

In the OT and in later Jewish literature, prayer is depicted as a battle. Prayer is the weapon God has given believers to pull down strongholds and destroy the schemes of the devil.

As we wrestle against spiritual powers of darkness we need to be reliant upon the ultimate power, the Holy Spirit. Chuck Missler called prayer “action at a distance” and said it was the believers “heavy artillery.”

Nuclear wars cannot be won with rifles. Likewise, satanic wars cannot be won by human energy.
