City Workers Use Their Jackets to Rescue Injured Owl

Street Department members rescued a distressed owl outside the public works building. City employee Tony Carusa and Doug Thrasher safely captured the owl, following guidance from the World Bird Sanctuary. The owl, identified as patient 24-011, was found cold and severely weakened, with signs of a previous right leg injury. Now under the care of the Wild Bird Sanctuary, the owl has a chance for recovery.
