Things you need to know as an affiliate marketer

Now, don’t get me wrong… affiliate marketing has completely changed our family’s finances ($1.9 million in 13 months as a beginner!) BUT here are some things you need to understand before getting started (no. 3 is important):

1️⃣ Contrary to what a lot of people put out there, affiliate marketing is not “easy”. The business model IS simple to understand and it’s easier than other online businesses because there’s no shipping, inventory, or sêlling, BUT monêy is not going to just start flowing into your account. It takes real effort & consistency to start making 15k USD months, but the timeline varies (I made 35k USD in my second month)

2️⃣ You really should know/buy the products you’re promoting. You DO NOT have to pay to promote these products, but it’s a good idea to know the product inside and out so you’re familiar with it. You probably wouldn’t recommend products to friends or family that you’ve never tried, right? So don’t do it to strangers on social media 🤷🏽‍♀️

3️⃣ To make the most money, you need to become a master lead generator. Your job is not to sêll!!!! YOUR job is to generate leads for these businesses, it’s THEIR job to sêll. This means you need to know your target audience (WHO wants to buy the products you’re promoting?), and speak to them. Share how this product benefited you & why they also need this product. Use storytelling & speak to different pain points.
