Runs 3:09 | Detroit was upended by the previous winless Oilers in the Astrodome, losing 27-17. The Lions were surprised by first-time starter Oliver Luck, who threw for two touchdowns, and by Earl Campbell, who rambled for 107 yards. Billy Sims put on a display, rushing for 105 yards on 20 carries and catching nine passes for 90 yards. Out of frustration, Billy Sims smashes a Gatorade table.
