Combat work of the Akatsiya self-propelled gun crews

Crews of 152 mm self-propelled artillery mounts 2S3 Akatsiya of the artillery units of the Vostok group of forces use fire attack tactics to inflict maximum damage to manpower and fire weapons of the Ukrainian Forces located on the line of combat contact near the border of the Donetsk People's Republic with the Zaporozhye region.

To carry out this tactical technique, the self-propelled gun crew constantly maneuvers, moves to a firing position, fires 5-6 shots and immediately returns to cover. Fire attacks by our large-caliber artillery prevent the enemy from transferring reserves and support the advancement of our assault groups. Fire adjustment of the Akatsiya self-propelled gun is carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles.

Another task of the Russian military is to push the enemy as far as possible so that the cities and towns of the DPR are out of reach of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery. The artillerymen of the Vostok group of troops said that they themselves installed additional protection on the body of the self-propelled gun to protect against enemy drones, which are constantly hunting for our artillery systems.
