Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 246 (Arabic Recitation): “ قَالُواْ وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نُقَٰتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ أُخۡرِجۡنَا مِن دِيَٰرِنَا وَأَبۡنَآئِنَاۖ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقِتَالُ تَوَلَّوۡاْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنۡهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 246 (English Translation): “ They said, "And why should we not fight in the cause of Allāh when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" But when battle was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allāh is Knowing of the wrongdoers. ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 246 (Urdu Translation): “ انہوں نے کہا بھلا ہم اللہ کی راه میں جہاد کیوں نہ کریں گے؟ ہم تو اپنے گھروں سے اجاڑے گئے ہیں اور بچوں سے دور کردیئے گئے ہیں۔ پھر جب ان پر جہاد فرض ہوا تو سوائے تھوڑے سے لوگوں کے سب پھر گئے اور اللہ تعالیٰ ﻇالموں کو خوب جانتا ہے۔ ”
