A Clark County School District police officer passed away after being discovered unresponsive by a student at Mojave High School in North Las Vegas on Wednesday, as reported by the Clark County School Police Officers Association. The incident occurred around 1 p.m., with the student finding the officer who had experienced a medical episode. Despite efforts by school police officers to administer CPR, their attempts proved unsuccessful, as shared by Association President Matthew Caldwell. The officer's body was later escorted in a motorcade from Mojave High School to a local hospital by law enforcement from the area.

CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus Jara expressed his sorrow in a statement, announcing the officer's passing and emphasizing the officer's positive impact on students, schools, and the community. The officer's dedicated service was acknowledged, and condolences were extended to the officer's family. The officer's name will be disclosed after notifying the next of kin.
