A young man was struck by an electric shock from lightning while he was with his friends in a plaza in the city of Villa Mercedes, San Luis, and suffered burns on 20% of his body. Jonathan Berón, 26, was with friends in a square in San Luis this Saturday at dawn, near some trees, apparently trying to take shelter from the storm, when at 3:20 the sky lights up and, seconds later, the electric shock directly impacts the young man who falls to the ground.

The event was recorded in a video that was broadcast this Sunday on social networks, in which the exact moment in which the lightning strikes a tree and the electric shock reaches the young man is observed, while his friends flee the scene. Berón was immediately transferred to the Verónica Bailone Hospital, where he remains in intensive care, but "hemodynamically stable" with burns on 20% of his body in the thigh and abdomen areas. "The patient is stable and controlled. If this continues, transfer to the common room will be evaluated in the next 24 or 48 hours," the medical report indicated.
