Farmers, railway workers protest subsidy cuts while Scholz talks more money for Kiev

In Germany, citizens face train cancellations across the country with an ongoing railway worker strike adding to the travel chaos and protests by farmers already hindering road traffic. This is all in response to the government's decision to slash fuel subsidies to farmers and truckers, while politicians seek to patch a €17 billion budget gap.

All of this despite the massive sums that Berlin is dishing out to Ukraine. People are understandably angered over the German Chancellor's fixation on Kiev at the expense of his country's own economy.
