During the Cold War, Nazis and Fascists were incorporated into paramilitary organizations like Le Cercle and The Safari Club and protected by banks like the BCCI. This is sometimes referred to as the Nazi Diaspora. Their goal was to shift the center of Fascism to the United States, and launch a new Reich.
