The Night of the Hunter (1955)

Directed by Charles Laughton, is a haunting and atmospheric thriller. The story follows the sinister Reverend Harry Powell, played by Robert Mitchum, a cunning and charismatic preacher with the words "love" and "hate" tattooed on his fingers. Powell marries a vulnerable widow to get to her hidden money, but her children become aware of his malevolent intentions.
