Pakistan Television was the only TV channel at that time and had no comparison of the content displayed. People still remember the old dramas and TV shows and all those are now the golden memories of the people living in 70s and 80s. PTV started from a small hut in Lahore Arts Council and from there it took over all the cities and still in 2014 is the most widely watched TV channel despite have countless TV channels in Pakistan. One of the major reasons of Pakistan Television’s viewership is their reach as it still works on the VHF antenna whereas all the other TV channels are restricted to TV cable system.
