Trapped (1949)

Directed by Richard Fleischer. The story revolves around counterfeiter Tris Stewart, who's captured by the U.S. Treasury Department. Stewart agrees to help the authorities track down his former associates in exchange for a reduced sentence and a chance to start anew with his girlfriend Laurie. However, the criminal underworld poses a constant threat as Stewart risks his life to gather evidence against his former partners.
