This episode of Ghosts and Stuff is about Lovelock Cave in Northern Nevada. Home to legends and archaeological evidence of a cannibalistic, giant group of people that were engaged in warfare with the Northern Paiute Native Americans, I explore this mystical gravesite that may hold more questions than answers. The Northern Paiute Native Americans were in conflict with a cannibalistic "people" in Northern Nevada that ultimately ended with a brutal finale at Lovelock Cave. The cannibalistic tribe was backed into the cave that was set ablaze at the entrance by the Paiute warriors. Later in 1911, guano miners would come across Native American artifacts and mummified remains of giants. Even some of the artifacts seemed to fit a larger human. What were these cannibals that met their demise in this cave? Were they part of a legendary class of hominids with larger-than-average stature? Come explore Lovelock Cave on this episode of Ghosts and Stuff.
