The Hitch-Hiker (1953)

Directed by Ida Lupino. The story follows two friends, Roy and Gilbert, on a fishing trip who encounter a hitchhiker named Emmett Myers. Unbeknownst to them, Myers is an escaped convict and a ruthless killer. He takes the friends hostage, forcing them to drive him across the desolate landscapes of the American Southwest. As the tension mounts and the friends grapple with the life-threatening situation, they must find a way to outwit the cunning and psychopathic hitchhiker.
