Sermon on the Mount Part 8: Dominant Thought

There's a real forest trees problem with approaching the Sermon on the Mount. We have to focus on both. The trees are the specific teachings Jesus gives on how we should live life. But if you just focus on them, they can start to look like pie in the sky, unrealistic nonsense. I mean, sure, they sound nice, but no one can actually do that.
That's the wrong perspective. To get the right perspective, we have to look at the forest. But if we just focus on the forest, it's all abstract. The rubber never meets the road, and so it never really makes a difference. So what's the point?
