Here’s some interesting antiques news: This chair made in around 1785 belonged to Marie Antoinette. Made by one of the finest gilt furniture makers at the time, George Jacob. Believed specifically for Queen Marie-Antoinette’s personal rooms at Versailles.

I said it sold for more than the cost of a French Chateau…well, in truth you could actually buy a couple of rather good French Chateau’s for the cost of this chair. It sold in auction, including auction fees for 2.2 million pounds.
