On Wednesday, state capitols in Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, and various other states underwent evacuation procedures following bomb threats, as reported by officials.

Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s chief elections official, communicated via X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that the commencement of activities at the Georgia State Capitol was postponed on Wednesday morning until an all-clear signal was provided.

“There have been multiple bomb threats to state capitols around the nation,” he wrote. “So far Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan & Montana. Do not jump to conclusions as to who is responsible. There will be chaos agents sowing discord for 2024. They want to increase tensions. Don’t let them.”

In Kentucky, Governor Andy Beshear acknowledged the threat on X and affirmed that state police were conducting an investigation, NPR reported.
