On todays video we have another clip from my interview with Robert Shaw, author of Architecture of Power, which explores how the Freemasons Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor attempted to rebuild London to suit their needs. Off the back of the Great Fire of London in 1666, caused by the Royal Family, Christopher Wren wanted to rebuild London in the same manner as Paris. His plan failed, but his protege, Hawksmoor, managed to build many churches across London. On today’s video we explore why he built them and what he might’ve been trying to do.
