Man found shot to death on sidewalk on Indianapolis' east side

A man was shot and killed near an apartment complex on Indianapolis' northeast side Wednesday afternoon.  Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 4100 block of Newburgh Drive around 5:30 p.m.  When they arrived they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
