Benjamin Netanyahu's popularity plummets: Many Israelis blame his government for Oct 7

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is starting the New Year with his lowest ever approval rating.

He's been prime minister for 16 years in total over three terms in office.

But now surveys suggest more than half of Israelis believe his time in power should end now - pointing to security, intelligence and political failures leading to the Hamas attack on October 7th.
