Power Outage at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport
Occurred on December 17, 2017 / Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Info from Licensor: "First and foremost, I have a fear of flying. My husband and I were flying home from St. Louis. We landed at Hartsfield at 1:15 pm. Shortly after landing, the pilot announced that the power had gone out through the entire airport, but the backup system should turn on shortly, but it never did. While we were sitting there, several emergency vehicles we speeding past us on the runway towards the terminal. We sat at the gate for over 3 hours before finally being able to get off the plane. We were warned that there was no lights or even water usage inside the airport. With Atlanta being our last stop, we decided to leave the plane and walk all the way back to our car. The video recorded shows the entire walk from our gate to outside door of baggage claim. However, we did leave our luggage behind and have yet to go back and claim it."
