Tortured in solitary confinement for 7 months, imprisoned for 700 days, and then their case was dismissed with prejudice because of flagrant prosecutorial misconduct. A federal government whistleblower's testimony caused the government's case to completely fall apart. The whistleblower testified to what amounts to a multi year conspiracy by the federal government against Cliven Bundy and his Bunkerville, Nevada ranch. The whistleblower also alleges that the Nevada US Attorney co-prosecuting the case was embroiled in a sexual relationship with the lead Bureau of Land Management special agent in charge of the Cliven Bundy cattle impoundment.

The FBI employed undercover agents to act as documentary filmmakers, get protesters drunk, and then use the recordings to imprison one of them for close to 70 years. The BLM and FBI in concert with the US Attorneys in Nevada planned months prior to the Bundy protests how they would effectively and successfully entrap the ranchers. The agencies lied to the courts which led to one of the protesters getting ripped off the stand during his testimony and another who was representing himself being stripped of his rights to the counsel of his choice until the BLM Whistleblower blew the case wide open.
