44 Magnum gel test w/ 180 XTP in Ballistics gel

This is a handload for a 4 inch barrel woods pistol with a moderate charge of powder. The 180 Grain Hornady XTP bullet has a muzzle velocity of 1310FPS and was shot into the gel from 10 feet. Penetration was 16" with nearly 100% retention.
