A 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck western Japan on Monday 01.01.2024, according to the United States Geological Survey and the Japan Meteorological Agency.

Agency officials switched the warning at around 8:30 p.m. local time, about four hours after the 7.5 magnitude quake struck western Japan on Monday.
