I believe the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio was the result of corporate capture. We plan to prove that this disaster was caused by the type of mechanical failure that could easily be detected and prevented by modern sensors, but for years federal regulators have permitted train operators to prioritize pocketing profits over investing in safety measures.
