Runs 2:38 | Jeff Rutledge led the Redskins to 17 fourth-quarter points, then Chip Lohmiller connected on a 34-yard field goal in overtime to give Washington a 41-38 win in the Silverdome. The Lions held a 35-14 third quarter edge when Washington inserted Rutledge for rookie starter Stan Humphries. Barry Sanders gained 100 yards on 10 carries and had a 45-yard TD run, but his effort was overshadowed by Rutledge's passing performance (30-of-42 for 363 yards and one TD). Washington compiled 674 total yards, 482 through the air, establishing single-game highs against the Lions.
