Mom hears daughter's voice for the first time

Laura Green had never heard her children’s voices. Now that she can – she says she’ll never need another Christmas gift again. The 30-year-old mother of three has been severely hearing-impaired since birth. Earlier this year, her mother nominated her to receive a set of new hearing aids valued at $5,000 from the Whisper Hearing Centers’ annual Hear for the Holidays event. Out of 500 applicants, Green was one of just two selected.
