Did you know that you can mount a Holosun 407K or 507K to an RMR pattern slide? In this short video I’m going to show you how to do that using this DPP titanium adapter plate. If this video is helpful to you, please consider subscribing to the channel, and if you’re looking for a new red dot optic, check out our huge library of red dot reviews.

The 407K or 507K has a mounting pattern unique to holosun. It is similar to the Shield RMSc pattern, and Holosun optics will actually mount up to Shield RMSc pattern slides. However, the 407K and 507K have slightly different hole sizes that allow for slides to be cut with recoil lugs.

So when purchasing an adapter plate to convert the Holosun K footprint to RMR, make sure you purchase this adapter plate with recoil lugs, as it’ll help keep the optic ultra secure to the slide. The link to the correct plate can be found on our blog, linked in the description. Keep in mind that Shield RMSc cut optics, like the Riton MPRD X3 Tactix are not compatible with this plate, so this plate is strictly for the Holosun 407K and 507K models.

Installation was easy. It took only a couple of minutes. Simply torque the plate down to the slide, mount the optic, and then torque the optic down to the plate.

Not only is this plate made with titanium, making it ultra strong and light, it also has these recoil lugs that keep the optic incredibly snug against the plate.

In a sense, this is in my opinion superior to most other plate mounting systems since you have the option to direct mount the popular RMR pattern, and then convert to other patterns with these high quality plates. Just keep in mind that this plate is not compatible with RMR slides that are already cut with recoil lugs like the Brownells or Zev slides.

That said, I have thrown lots of rounds down range with this setup via my PSA dagger and I wouldn’t hesitate to run this on a carry gun. It is a rock solid product and I highly recommend it.
