Next Year In Heaven:

“This Same Jesus will return in the same way you saw Him go”. For about 2,000 years Followers of Christ, Christians, have stood on that promise. The First Generation of the Church lived every day believing it would be the day He would return. And acted like it. They were ready. Sadly, the same can rarely be said today. We, Christians, talk about and sing about looking for His Return but we do not live as if we believe it can happen at any moment. But it can.

It is hard to maintain hope and faith over such a long period of time. Yet, God has never moved on Man’s Time. A perfect example is the Jewish People, the Children of God. In AD 70, they lost their homeland and country and saw Jerusalem and the Temple leveled. Yet, they knew their God had promised to restore all that. To return Jerusalem, the City of David the City of God, to His People. So, for nearly 1900 years they believed in the impossible. Every year at the end of Passover, Faithful Jews would raise their glasses and toast “Next Year In Jerusalem”. It was an impossible dream. But, God…

It must be the same with us. As we close out 2024 let’s raise a new toast. “Next Year In Heaven”. This will be the most encouraging and uplifting Conversations I have ever had with you. Let’s start looking with joy and hope for the day we will see Jesus face-to-face. Let’s join together in hoping and believing 2024 might be the Year God tells Gabriel to blow the Trumpet. Let’s join John the Revelator and say “Come Lord Jesus, Come.” I am definitely ready to go Home.
