Oily TrashMovies Episode 39: Hellbender (2021)

Bublegum Barbie and Daddy WarBux watch Hellbender, a movie about a pair of witches that reproduce through cannibalism. See two women bicker in the woods for 90 minutes while eating sticks and bugs. This is a slow, moody movie, but it does bring some refreshing takes to the genre. Is conceptual horror enough to make up for a lack of an explosive finale, or does this film waste its potential, with the interesting ideas amounting to little more than a hood ornament on a Suburu? You decide.
