This is a capture of me and a friend playing through the 150cc All Cup Tour of Mario Kart: Double Dash!! for the GameCube. I'm playing the game in progressive scan mode using an actual GameCube (not the Wii). I'm player one (Luigi) and Drew is player two (Toad).

I haven't uploaded the All Cup Tour of this game yet, so I decided to do something special for that. In this video Drew and I raced cooperatively on a single kart with me driving and Drew gunning.

One of the unique and best features of Double Dash is the fact that you can have two people racing together on a single kart. This allows the second player to handle items, ram other players at any time using L and R, and power up mini-turbos. I always loved racing cooperatively back in the day with friends and family because other people didn't have to worry about driving.

I hadn't played this game in a while, so I was a bit rusty in the first few races, but I started getting used to the physics once again in the later races. Drew definitely did a great job as a gunner here. We had some exciting moments, so I hope you enjoy the footage.

Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the GameCube's component cables at 60 frames per second.
