Elon Musk's social media platform "X" is facing legal issues related to unpaid bonuses, according to a judge's ruling.

The former senior director of compensation, Mark Shinger, filed a lawsuit against X in June, alleging a breach of contract for not paying millions of dollars in bonuses promised to employees.

The lawsuit claimed that X promised employees 50% of the 2022 Target bonuses both before and after Elon Musk purchased the platform but failed to make those payments.

The US District Judge ruled that Shinger's breach of contract claim under California law was valid, rejecting X's argument that Texas law should govern the case.

X has been confronted with multiple lawsuits from former employees and executives since Musk's acquisition of the company, including allegations of wrongdoing, despite the company denying any misconduct.
