Plant of the Week - Sap-fling was offered between December 23, 2023 through December 30, 2023.

35 Sap-fling seeds are awarded for completing this event consisting of five (5) levels.

Sap-fling is a member of the Contain-Mint family.
Sap-fling costs 75 Sun. (-25 Sun on level 7.)
Every three (3) seconds, Sap-fling launches a pinecone at the first zombie in the lane. Said pinecone will leave a puddle of sap on the lawn for seven (7) seconds which slows all zombies in the puddle by 50%.

Commentary:
Sap-fling is quite effective for what it does. There are not too many plants which can slow a horde like Sap-fling can.

Bottom Line:
As good as Sap-fling is at slowing the zombie horde, no damage is being done to the zombies. The player still needs a way to eliminate the zombies as Sap-fling only slows things down. As space tends to be a commodity, one would probably be better selecting another plant than Sap-fling.

We think the idea of Sap-fling is fine. We just think the ability would be better served as a Vine.
