More than 20,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the war between Israel and Hamas, according to the Hama-run Gaza Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, Gadi Haggai, a 73-year-old Israeli-American hostage taken captive by Hamas, has died. Haggai is the first American hostage to have died in the conflict.

The Israel Defense Forces also released video footage from a camera attached to an army canine sent into Hamas tunnels in Gaza. Israel has made an effort to destroy as many tunnels in Gaza as it can.

LiveNOW's Lexie Petrovic spoke about the war with IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Peter Lerner.
