The top hockey club of the Soviet Union, CSKA Moscow (known as the Red Army), had gone unbeaten in a 3-game stretch against New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and Boston Bruins. But on January 11, 1976, they met their North American match — the 2-time Stanley Cup Champions, the Philadelphia Flyers (aka the Broad Street Bullies). In this video, we'll examine how the Flyers were able to not just best the vaunted Red Army club, but dominate them in every facet.
